1. Overview & Commitment

Calviora (“we”, “our”, or “the App”), published by ZEETRAVELO, is a wellness, nutrition, and calorie-tracking application designed to help users build healthier eating and hydration habits. We are firmly committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with full transparency.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how it is secured, and your rights to access, manage, and delete your data.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to provide core calorie tracking, hydration logging, and AI meal estimation:

• Account Information: When you sign up or log in using email/password or Google Sign-In, we collect your name and email address to authenticate you and sync your data securely via Google Firebase Authentication.
• Wellness Profile Data: To calculate your estimated daily calorie needs and hydration targets (using standard wellness formulas such as Mifflin-St Jeor), you may provide your age, biological sex, height, current weight, target weight, activity level, and dietary preference.
• Food & Hydration Logs: Food items logged, portion sizes, calorie estimates, macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fat), and daily water intake.
• Activity Logs: Physical exercise types, durations, and estimated calories burned that you manually log.
• Meal Images for AI Food Scan: When you use our camera or photo picker feature to scan a meal, the image is transmitted securely to our cloud service solely to analyze the food and estimate nutritional values. Images are never used for advertising, surveillance, or facial recognition, and are not retained long-term or sold.
• AI Result Reports: If you choose to report an AI food estimate, we store the reason you select, any optional details you type, and the estimated food name and nutrition values, linked to your account, so we can review and improve AI results.
• App Usage Analytics: Firebase Analytics records basic app interactions and an app instance identifier to help us understand usage and fix problems. Advertising ID collection is disabled.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

Calviora requests only the minimum Android permissions necessary for user-initiated actions:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used only when you tap the camera scanner to photograph your food for calorie analysis. We declare this feature as optional; devices without a camera can still use manual logging.
• Photo Library / Gallery: Photo selection uses the native Android system photo picker. Calviora does not request or require broad read access to your entire photo library or external storage (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES is disabled).
• Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used only to deliver your chosen reminders for meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), water intake, and daily streak tracking. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
• Internet (android.permission.INTERNET): Used to authenticate your account, synchronize your food logs to your private cloud profile, and query the AI food analysis service.

4. Cloud Processing & Third-Party Services

Calviora uses reputable, privacy-compliant Google Cloud infrastructure to store data securely:

• Google Firebase Authentication: Manages secure user login sessions.
• Google Cloud Firestore: Encrypted cloud database where your private food logs and nutritional goals are stored.
• Google Cloud Functions & Gemini AI: When you scan a food photo, it is processed via our authenticated Google Cloud Function to generate estimated calories and macros. API keys and AI credentials remain on the server and are never exposed in the client app.
• Google Firebase Analytics: Anonymized usage events to help us fix errors and improve stability. No advertising ID is collected.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: Uses a device push token so we can deliver app notifications. The token is deleted when you delete your account.

5. Medical & Health Disclaimer

Calviora is a lifestyle and wellness tracker, not a medical device.

All calorie calculations, macronutrient splits, body mass index (BMI) references, and AI meal estimates are general wellness estimates and must not be considered medical advice, clinical nutrition prescriptions, or medical diagnoses. Always consult a qualified physician or healthcare provider before embarking on a weight-loss program, significant dietary restriction, or strenuous exercise routine.

6. Data Retention & Permanent Account Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your entire account and all associated cloud data at any time directly in the app by going to Profile > Delete account. This immediately purges your Firebase Authentication user and permanently deletes all Firestore subcollections (meals, water logs, activities, and profile data).
• Deletion Without the App: If you no longer have the app installed, follow the steps on our Account Deletion page or email info@zeetravelo.com from your account email with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. We will process and confirm your request within 30 days.
• Retention: Your data is kept only while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your profile, logs, and AI result reports. Meal photos used for AI scans are processed in real time and are not stored by Calviora.

7. Children's Privacy

Calviora is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 13. If we discover that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will immediately delete that information from our servers.

8. Security of Your Information

We employ industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and encrypted databases at rest. Access to user data is strictly isolated by Firebase security rules so that only your authenticated account can read or write your personal logs.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal requirements. The updated date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of Calviora after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
